Which Of These Dogs Are You?

These dogs are all of us. We are these dogs.

Sometimes, though, the stars align and you happen to find yourself in exactly the right place at the right time. In my case, that place was outside a doggie daycare on West 13th Street, and the time was last night.

There, I witnessed this brief shining moment of perfection.

All of the other dogs were sitting calmly, quietly, tired from their long day spent pooping and yapping, but not this amorous lil curly dude. He saw what he wanted from the world and by gosh, he went for it. (The pug seemed pleased yet dignified.)
