Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams play estranged sisters Sansa and Arya Stark, respectively, on HBO's massive hit Game of Thrones, but off screen they couldn't be closer. Sophie, who's 18, and Maisie, who's soon-to-be 17, met during the audition process nearly five years ago and have been the best of friends ever since.
As they sat in hotel rooms in Columbus Circle in the days leading up to and after the show's huge Season 4 premiere in New York, the actresses — who'd had a sleepover the night prior — both discussed the challenges of growing up in the public eye. "We have this understanding of what each other's going through, and yet, we barely speak about Game of Thrones when we're together," Sophie said.
To test their knowledge of each other, BuzzFeed challenged Sophie and Maisie to play The Newlywed Game: Best Friend Edition. And with their whiteboard markers in hand (pink for Sophie, who said she was channeling her inner Sansa, and green for Maisie, which Sophie predicted she'd choose), they were more than happy to oblige.
