Did Future Psychically Predict Beyoncé's "Drunk In Love"?

An amazing, unreleased Future song sounds a lot like Bey’s masterpiece. Why?

Future wrote a song that sounds a whole lot like Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love.”

It’s called “Good Morning” and he performed it over the weekend at a Spin party in Austin. It was produced by Detail, one of the guys behind “Drunk in Love,” and was recorded for Future’s upcoming album Honest, but ultimately cut from the track list. The songs have a lot in common: They're about being so in love that you're super, super horny, and notably both have the characteristically Future so-childlike-it's-really-deep lyric: "We be all night."

Future’s song and Beyoncé’s song were written around the same time.

On stage in Texas, Future explained: “I was recording with this producer by the name of Detail, we was working on the 'Drunk in Love.' And we started working on this other record at the same time, and then once 'Drunk in Love' came out, it pushed this song to the side, but at the same time it’s one of my favorite songs that didn’t make the album.”

Wait, did Future write “Drunk in Love”?

Well, no. Or if he did, that's a secret. He wasn’t one of that song’s eight credited songwriters. And even though Future said “we was working on the 'Drunk in Love'” in public, his rep tells BuzzFeed “he was NOT involved in working on 'Drunk in Love.'”

So, something is fishy here — why do the two songs sound so much alike?

It's hard to know! Future recorded “Good Morning” before “Drunk in Love” was recorded, says Future’s rep. Seemingly, Future just envisioned this song, like some kind of psychic medium. Or maybe Detail just had both Future and Bey listen to the same reference track, and they both nailed it?
