Six-year-old trumps reporter in spelling competition

6yroldspeller

How did this 6-year-old earn her place in the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee? By keeping cool amongst competitors of any age, including one Fox News reporter who found himself another casualty of the youngster’s remarkable mind. After beating out 21 middle school and elementary school opponents in her local town of Dale City, Va., Lori Anne Madison, the youngest contestant in the Prince William County spell-offs, stated she wasn’t threatened by anyone, even those who may have a few years on her.

Geraldo Rivera was right about hoodie comment!

s-GERALDO-RIVERA-large I personally support Geraldo Rivera in his “hoodie” comment @GeraldoRivera , he meant well and simply wanted to educate and protect people from the realities of the street world which is different then our comfortable politically correct world we create in our minds!

Geraldo was dead right about the reality of police profiling suspects on how they dress, appear and act. You may not like it, but walking around a gated community late at night with a hoodie on will attract attention and suspicion. It’s a fact not a dig! Why don’t people get that?

Obama: If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon

obama-martin

Sanford, Florida (CNN) -- President Barack Obama spoke out publicly Friday for the first time on the growing controversy over the shooting of an unarmed African-American teenager in Florida, saying that the incident requires national "soul-searching."

"When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids," Obama told reporters in response to a question. "And I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this and that everybody pulls together -- federal, state and local -- to figure out exactly how this tragedy happened."

Trayvon Martin, 17, died February 26. Police say he was shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer in Sanford, Florida, who said he was acting in self-defense. Martin was unarmed, carrying a bag of Skittles candy and an iced tea, according to police.

Although a grand jury is scheduled to convene April 10 to look into the case, authorities have declined to arrest the volunteer, George Zimmerman, sparking a national debate over Florida's "stand your ground" deadly force law amid concerns about racial profiling.  [full story]

I agree with much of what Obama said about this tragic incident, however I’m not so sure his son would look like Trayvon Martin.

Who will win the Iowa Caucus Romney or Paul?

Looks like it's a close race between Romney and Paul, but can any one really see Ron Paul getting the Republican nomination and even coming close to beating Obama?

Look I like Ron Paul, but I have to agree he is way out of touch with mainstream Americans! And even worse, has such a small block of true believers and followers it would be a landslide victory for Obama!

Mitt Romney on the other hand, while not the core Republican's first or even second choice, he has much more mainstream appeal and actually has a better chance of defeating Obama then even Newt or any other Republican candidate out there! I think Romney will win the Iowa Caucus, and really needs to win big too! This will put him in a better light for not so convinced Republicans. If on the other hand Ron Paul should manage to win Iowa, that will muddy the waters and just slow the progress down for Romney who will eventually get the nomination any way.

Stephen Hawking Is A Myth!

Famed theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking finds no room for heaven in his vision of the cosmos.
In an interview published Monday in The Guardian newspaper, the 69-year-old says the human brain is a like a computer that will stop working when its components fail.
He says: "There is no heaven or afterlife for broken-down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark."

Well Mr Hawking, just because your components failed a long time ago, there is no need to take it out on God or religion. I understand you rely almost entirely on computerized devices for you to function normally and when they fail, your life comes to a stop. But I assure you that is no reason to assume humans are like computers! Mr. Hawking we don't believe in God because we are afraid of the dark.

This "scientific" mind is comparing humans to computers and then reasons if life stops for a computer, so must for a human and there is no room for a after life.

In "Grand Design," a book published last year, Hawking had declared that it was "not necessary to invoke God ... to get the universe going."
Hawking is nearly totally paralyzed by motor neurone disease, diagnosed when he was 21.
Hawking says he is not afraid of death, but adds: "I'm in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first."

Mr. Hawking tells us in his book titled "grand Design" that it is  not necessary to invoke God to get the universe going? So what makes it a Grand DESIGN? Who designed it?! He says he is not in a hurry to die but is not afraid of death. More myths from Mr. Hawking. I suggest that Mr. Hawking is a myth! A motorized myth on wheels!

Why Atheists Are Hypocritical Assholes!

Indie here with a new vent, atheists can be bigger assholes then religious conservatives! It's a fact! Both are very hypocritical and both can be just as arrogant and narrow minded! So let's explore the foolish mind of the atheist. Most likely they are atheists because of some bad experiences with religion. I can't blame them for that, however they make the fatal error of assuming religion is the end all criteria to judge if there is or is no god. They base their belief or lack of belief on mens work and religion! Then they proceed to belittle believers by accusing them of being superstitious, believing n imaginary friends. They think they are smarter because they can see there is no rational reason to believe in some thing that can't be proven. Oh wait, yet they believe there is no god and that can't be proven, but never mind, lets not let logic stop us from trashing believers!

I am not very religious. I can understand how one can be turned off by organized religion. I can't go to churches because I simply can't stomach them or silly pastors pretending to be all knowing or authorative on the subject of god! But I do not base my belief of God by what men say or do or write! If I did that, I'd probably be a atheist too! I understand that God is so very infinite and beyond our capability to fully understand *his* concept. Religion is simply our limited way to try to relate to God, as feeble and limited as it is, it should not be ridiculed, attacked or insulted! It will not prove or disprove God! We should not try to tear this apart and purpose try to shatter all some people have, their faith, their religion.

It never ceases to amaze me that most of these atheist assholes are also usually liberal and they would be the first to defend Muslims or other religions if a Christian insulted or attacked their religion. As I said earlier, I believe most atheists are atheists because some thing turned them off Christianity. That would explain why they so aggressively target Christianity. Perhaps their mother forced them to go to Church, or may be they were molested by a Catholic Priest, I don't know why but some thing really turned them off Christianity and now they group it all the same and dismiss God based on man's works and religion!

That explains a large percentage of atheists but what about those not covered by those reasons? I have met some very intelligent and polite and well mannered atheists. They are atheists because it is too hard for them to accept any thing unseen or unproven, religious or scientific. They are consistent in their beliefs or lack of beliefs and do not feel the need to trash any one or any religion. Many are simply agnostic or weak atheists. I have no quarrel. People, all people are entitled to their beliefs or disbeliefs. It's those who ridicule, insult and belittle others who are the assholes. And friends, many atheists can be just as hypocritical as those they like to target!
