Police confirmed to BuzzFeed that there were three fatalities at two locations. A KCTV reporter on the scene said a suspect reportedly yelled “Heil Hitler” as he was taken away in handcuffs. This story is developing.
The first shooting was reported to the police around 1 p.m., a spokesperson for the Overland Park Fire Department confirmed to BuzzFeed.
The Overland Park Regional Medial Center said a 16-year-old male was shot and is in critical condition, CBS News reports.
Police told BuzzFeed that the person of interest was in custody.
