Lorde was born in 1996, two years after Kurt Cobain’s tragic death. But his legacy is in good hands with her, and the other amazing women who helped induct Nirvana into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Lorde joined the surviving members of Nirvana to perform “All Apologies” on Thursday in Brooklyn.
Nirvana was among the nine acts inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year. At Thursday's induction ceremony, four female singers joined the surviving members of the band to perform.

After the main ceremony, the night raged on at a metal bar in Brooklyn, where St. Vincent and members of Nirvana did "Heart Shaped Box," and Joan Jett reprised "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
