8 Powerful Photos Of OutKast's Atlanta

Ahead of their big reunion , Creative Loafing Atlanta has published a beautiful photo series, celebrating the landmarks immortalized and transformed by the legendary A-Town duo.

OutKast are reuniting this weekend at the annual Coachella festival in Indio, CA. it'll be the first time Andre 3000 and Big Boi have performed together in eight years, and a celebration of the 20th anniversary of their game-changing first album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik. To commemorate that album, which has no less than 68 references to the duo's Atlanta hometown, and its impact, Creative Loafing Atlanta put together an amazing tour through some of those references — landmarks, abandoned housing projects, local malls — shot by photographer Dustin Chambers.

Take a stroll through some of the photos below, and check out Creative Loafing's feature, "Straight Outta Stankonia," for more on how OutKast transformed the identity of the Atlanta.
